Description

Tissue Lamé is a very lightweight 70-GSM, high-shine fabric made by weaving metallic mylar with nylon filaments. It is known for its intense, "glitzy" reflection and a unique structure that resembles metallic tissue paper.  It has a brilliant, reflective metallic sheen that is typically identical on both sides. Made in Japan, the fabric is crisp and paper-like with a subtle pebbly  texture. It is extremely light 70-GSM made in Japan and can range from semi-sheer to solid, depending on the light reflection off the fabric.

Due to its dramatic visual impact, tissue lame is primarily used in industries where "spectacle" is the goal:

Tissue Lamé Fabric is widely used for Fashion, Costume, Cosplay, Accessories, Drapery and Overlays, Theater accents and Dance wear.

Metallic Tissue Lamé Fabric For Costume

Costumes & Theatrics: It is a classic choice for stage outfits, dancewear, cosplay, and superhero capes because it is flashy but light enough for movement.

Metallic Tissue Lamé Fabric For Event Decorations

Event Decor: Frequently used for table runners, overlays, and chair sashes. It is also a staple for wedding backdrops and ceiling drapes because it reflects lights beautifully.

Tissue Lamé Fabric Top Decorative Applications

  • Backdrops & Photo Booths: Because it reflects light so intensely, it is used to create "shimmer walls" or eye-catching focal points behind head tables.
  • Table Scaping: It is a favorite for table runners and overlays, especially for theme parties (e.g., Hollywood Glam, Space, or Holiday events). Its crispness allows it to be "scrunchied" down the center of a table to add texture and glitz.
  • Ceiling Swags: Since it is extremely lightweight, it can be hung in long, sweeping lengths across large ceilings without putting stress on support wires, providing a dramatic metallic glow.
  • Balloon & Floral Accents: It is often cut into strips to create metallic tassels for giant balloons or used to wrap the base of floral arrangements to hide unsightly foam or plastic.
  • Chair Sashes: It is used for crisp, stiff bows that hold their shape better than satin, giving chairs a sharp, tailored look.
Why Do Decorators Love to Use Tissue Lamé Fabric in Event Decoration;

Maximum Reflection: It offers the highest level of light reflection of any non-mirrored fabric, making it perfect for dimly lit venues with colorful up-lighting.

  • Ease of Sculpting: Its crisp, paper-like hand means it stays where you put it—if you pleat it or fold it, it holds that shape better than "flowy" fabrics.
  • Affordability: It provides a "luxury metal" look for a fraction of the cost of real metallic-weave textiles.
  • Variety: It is available celebratory colors that can be coordinated with other fabrics like satin or sheers.

Metallic Tissue Lamé Fabric For Fashion;

Fashion Accents: While too fragile for most structured everyday wear, it is used for evening wear accents, trims on formal gowns, and high-shine accessories like party clutches.

Metallic Tissue Lamé Fabric For Holiday and Crafts

Holiday & Crafts: Its "antique" metallic look makes it popular for holiday ornaments, flags, and decorative banners.
